First semester has ended and winter break is gone. Looking back at winter break, it was a pretty bad experience given that I dislocated my kneecap and was on crutches for about three weeks. Things seemed to lighten up around Christmas time because it was an enjoyable experience over the break mainly because of the time I spent with my family and relatives especially when Christmas gift were opened and I received an Xbox One.
Little by little it started to hit me that this would be my last winter break of high school and that the first semester was nearly over. Reflecting back on my first semester since it was ending I realized my senior year is almost over. I started thinking what had happen in my first semester and how quick the semester has gone by. What I loved most about first semester was the time I had and the memories I have created along the way, but I regret not making even more memories with my friends and not getting ahead of pace as I planned and falling short of pace in one elective. I’m currently on pace on six out of seven courses but would like to be ahead of pace so that I may have leisure time towards the end of my senior year.
The Reality of second semester being my last hasn’t really hit me yet, But just thinking about the fact that i’m almost done with highschool is so nerve racking. Thinking of second semester as my last semester makes me want to really make it a more memorable one that would include fun memorable times. I plan to make this last semester one I will never forget. For the most part it has been so far so far memories of playing a guitar gig at the lindsay museum and working in 3 food booths have been added to my collection of fun memories.
Before graduation I need to complete a lot of things which include my job shadow which is hard to do when you do really know what you want to do but I think I’m getting closer and closer on choosing a career, Senior projects are required for graduation, Senior exit interviews, community hours and credits for passing courses. In order for me to graduate I would need to finish my job shadow, complete journal 4, finish my senior website, these are all tied to the senior project which I find a fun process in my senior year journey. Progress towards my post-graduation is still unclear because I still haven’t figured what I want to major in, let me rephrase that I want to major in many different areas that it’s hard to choose one and find a job shadow for it because i’m still unsure if it’s the right one for me. As for colleges so far I applied for College the Sequoias and Porterville college I hope to earn my associates degree here then transfer to a different college for my bachelors or even a masters degree.
